Shopify redirect CSV generator

Paste old and new addresses. Get a file Shopify can import, with chains, loops and repeats fixed, all in your browser.

Paste two columns straight from a spreadsheet, or separate each pair with a space, comma or arrow. Full addresses and plain paths both work.

How we can help

A redirect file saves the links. It does not rebuild the catalogue

The old address is only half the move. The page it lands on has to be a properly built product: right variants, titles, images and data. We do both, so rankings carry over.

Not sure which you need? Book a free 30-minute call and bring this result, or send us a message. No obligation, no pitch deck.

What goes into every product we upload

Moving stores is mostly a product problem. The redirects only help if the page they land on is built properly. This is what every product gets when we do the catalogue.

  • Source data mapped and cleaned before anything goes live
  • Variants and options structured so they never need rebuilding
  • Images uploaded, named and assigned to the right variant
  • SKUs and barcodes checked, with junk values removed
  • Collections and categories assigned
  • SEO title and meta description written for every product
  • Pricing and inventory imported
  • A test batch checked by us before the full import

Questions

In your Shopify admin go to Content, then Menus, then View URL Redirects, then Import. Upload a CSV with two columns, Redirect from and Redirect to. This tool builds that file for you.

Shopify wants a path for the old address, such as /product/blue-shirt. You can paste full addresses and we strip the domain for you. The new address can be a path on your store or a full address elsewhere.

A chain is when /a goes to /b and /b goes to /c. Visitors and Google take two hops. The tool points /a straight at /c, which is faster and keeps more ranking value.

Yes. Shopify's URL redirects are permanent (301) redirects, which is what you want when pages have moved for good.

No to the home page. A redirect from an address that still shows a live page on your store may not take effect, so remove the old page first if you want the redirect to work. Test a few after importing.

No. The file is built inside your browser. Nothing you paste is sent to us.

Moving a store and worried about rankings?

Tell us the platform and roughly how many products. We check the redirect map and the catalogue, before there is any quote.

No pitch deck, no obligation. Bring your URL and we will look at it together.
