FAQ

Thirty-five questions, answered with numbers

Everything people ask before they hire us — prices, timelines, payment terms, who owns what, and the things we will not promise. If yours is not here, ask it.

Working with us

We read it, look at your website ourselves, and reply within one working day — usually with the first findings already attached rather than a request for a meeting. If we need access to Search Console or Analytics to say anything useful, we will ask for read access and explain what we are looking for.

No. The first pass of stats is free and comes with no contract attached. We pull real numbers from your own accounts and tell you what we found. It is the fastest way for both of us to work out whether there is a job here.

No. Retainers run month to month and project work is quoted with a fixed scope. If a month's reporting stops being worth reading, you stop paying. There is nothing to cancel.

The people you spoke to. We are a small senior team in Mumbai and there is no handoff to a junior pool after the pitch. It is also why we say no to work that needs a department we do not have.

Yes, across India and beyond. Everything runs remotely over WhatsApp, email and calls. The office is in Kandivali West if you would rather meet in person.

Monday to Saturday, 10:00 to 18:00 IST. WhatsApp is the fastest way to reach us inside those hours. Anything sent outside them gets picked up the next working morning.

Yes, and we have. We have told clients their SEO budget was the wrong spend, that their product feed mattered more than their ads, and that their website did not need rebuilding. That advice costs us work, which is roughly how you know it is honest.

Read access to Search Console and Analytics covers most of what we need at the start. For anything requiring admin we tell you which specific check needs it. Send credentials through a password manager share rather than email or WhatsApp.

Pricing

WordPress websites start from ₹15,000 and WooCommerce stores start from ₹25,000. We send an exact fixed quote against your requirements, usually within 24 hours of understanding the scope.

Shopify store development starts from ₹20,000, including Razorpay, PayU or CCAvenue setup, GST configuration and OS 2.0 sections. Custom Liquid work is quoted on top depending on how far the design goes from the theme.

SEO plans start from ₹8,000 a month, covering technical audit, keyword research, on-page work, Google Business Profile and monthly reporting. Larger catalogues and more competitive niches are quoted higher, and we say why.

Management starts from ₹8,000 a month with ad spend separate and staying on your own card. Below roughly ₹20,000 a month in spend there is rarely enough data to optimise against — we will tell you if you are under it rather than take the fee.

Speed optimization starts from ₹6,000 and Cloudflare setup from ₹4,000. If the problem turns out to be the server rather than the site, we tell you that before you spend anything on the site.

Firstlight is our fixed-price starter: a one-page or mini website plus a Google Business Profile, live in seven days. Three tiers from ₹9,999, and hosting is free for the first twelve months from go-live.

Yes. Care Lite runs at ₹1,499 a month alongside a Firstlight build. Full care plans are quoted on the size and traffic of the site. Over 75 sites are on active care with us right now.

Fixed, never hourly. Project work is quoted with a defined scope and a stated price, and retainers are a monthly figure. If something falls outside the scope we quote it separately before doing it, never after.

35% in advance to begin, and the remaining 65% on completion before final handover. Longer projects can be split into milestones, agreed in writing on the quote before anything starts. We do not begin work on a verbal go-ahead and we do not send surprise invoices.

No. Flying Star Technologies is not registered under GST at present, so no GST is charged on our invoices — the quoted figure is what you pay. It also means there is no GST input credit available on our invoices, which is worth knowing if you claim input credit. If we register in future we will tell existing clients before it affects any invoice.

No, they are starting prices. Every figure quoted here and across our other sites is where that service begins — the actual quote depends on scope, catalogue size and how competitive the work is. You get an exact fixed number in writing before you commit to anything.

No, and we never mark them up. Hosting, domains, licences, stock assets and ad spend are billed at actual cost, usually paid directly by you into your own accounts so you keep control of them.

Websites and stores

Simple websites can go live in two days. Custom WooCommerce or Shopify stores typically take one to three weeks depending on scope. Every quote carries a timeline, and if something slips we tell you before the date, not after.

Yes. Products, customers, orders, images and metafields move across with a full 301 redirect map, so there is no ranking penalty and no downtime. We have moved over 30 Indian stores. Pricing depends on catalogue size.

Not if the URLs are handled properly, which is the part most rebuilds get wrong. We have been called in to fix a migration that left 675 dead product URLs behind — they were still earning 67% of that site's search clicks. The redirect map is written before anything launches.

Yes — Razorpay, PayU and CCAvenue, including GST configuration. We set them up in your own account so the money and the credentials stay yours.

You do, all of it, in your name. Hosting, domain, ad accounts, analytics and the code. If you ever leave, you leave with everything and nothing needs migrating.

Yes, and sometimes we advise against it. If the site is slow or not converting, a redesign may fix neither. We look first and tell you which of the two problems you actually have.

Usually. We take over sites regularly. We will tell you honestly if the build is in a state where fixing costs more than replacing, and show you the reasoning rather than just asserting it.

SEO, Google and ads

Technical fixes can show in Search Console within two to four weeks. Competitive keyword movement takes three to six months. Anyone promising faster is either describing ads or guessing.

No, and neither can anyone else honestly. What we guarantee is that you will see exactly what we did each month and what moved. Rankings are an outcome, not a deliverable we control.

Possibly not. Across five accounts we audited, four reported zero issues and we found 56 real problems between them. One read 100% eligible with zero issues while sending menswear to women. The dashboard fails in both directions.

Usually because the bottleneck is not where people look. We have found a database being killed every forty minutes by a misconfigured buffer pool, and an object cache backend 281 times slower than memory that the plugin's own test reported as healthy.

Yes — categories, services, photos, posts and review handling. For most local businesses in India it is the highest-return channel and the most ignored.

Yes, and it is often the first thing that needs doing. We have taken over accounts where the only signal feeding the bidding was a pageview counted as a conversion, and Meta accounts where the pixel had been dead for three years.

Yes. Pixel and dataset health gets verified before any campaign is built, because a conversion objective on an account with no usable history will simply spend without learning.

Support and care

Monthly WordPress maintenance: core, theme and plugin updates, backups, uptime monitoring, security and speed checks, with a report you can actually read. Over 75 sites run on it.

Care plan sites are monitored and we act on it. Sites not on a plan are handled as they come in during working hours — we will always tell you honestly how quickly we can get to it.

Yes. Every build comes with a support window, and after that a care plan is the tidy way to keep it looked after. There is no obligation to take one.

Yes. For most builds we hand over a short walkthrough of the parts you will actually touch, so routine edits do not need us at all.

Still unanswered? Send us the question — we answer questions we have not been paid to answer.

Want free stats on your site first?

Send us the URL. We pull the numbers from your own accounts and tell you what is wrong before there is any quote, and before there is any contract.

No pitch deck, no obligation. Bring your URL and we will look at it together.
