No. Text, fonts, lines and drawings are never turned into pictures, so they stay as sharp as the original at any zoom. Only photos and scanned pictures are re-encoded, and you can compare each one with the original before you download.
No. The PDF is compressed by your own browser, so there is no upload and no limit we set. Very large files, hundreds of megabytes, depend on your device's memory and work best on a laptop or desktop.
No. The file is read, compressed and saved on your own device. Nothing is sent to us or to any server, which makes it safe for contracts, bank statements and ID documents.
Yes. Pick a brush, such as Keep photos original or Sharp, and tap or drag across the pages you want to protect, or type a range like 1-3, 8. The rest follow the main setting.
Turn on Hit a file size and pick or type the limit. The tool tries each level from sharpest down and keeps the gentlest one that fits, so photos are never squeezed harder than they need to be.
Text and fonts are already compressed and cannot be made much smaller without loss. The breakdown at the top shows what is taking up the space: if photos are only a small part, the saving will be small too, and that is the honest result.
It takes out the author name, the software used, editing history from design apps and embedded page thumbnails. Your pages look exactly the same. The document title is kept.
