Social Media Management

A calendar, original creative, and no stock photos

We produce the artwork rather than licensing it, we schedule ahead rather than posting on the day, and we do not report follower count as a result. Most of what we post is written to be useful on its own, whether or not anyone clicks through.

The problem, as we usually find it

What is actually going wrong on most of the sites we are called into — before anything about what we would charge.

Most social media retainers in India are sold on volume: a number of posts per month, a number of platforms, a follower target. All three are easy to measure and none of them is the thing you are actually buying.

What you are buying is a feed that looks like it belongs to a real business, published consistently, with creative made for your brand rather than licensed from a library. That is harder to put in a proposal, which is exactly why it is worth paying for.

We report reach, saves and profile actions. Not follower count. A follower who never sees your posts is not an asset, and buying followers to hit a number is the fastest way to make sure the rest never get seen.

What the work covers

Everything below is included. If something is not on this list, we quote it separately rather than leaving you to find out later.

Content calendar

Planned and scheduled ahead, so the feed does not depend on whoever remembered.

Original creative

Made for your brand, held to one visual system across a whole series rather than recoloured per post.

Multi-platform publishing

Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google Business Profile, sized correctly for each.

Google Business posts

The channel most Indian businesses ignore, and the one closest to a local search.

Reporting

Reach, saves and profile actions. Follower count is not a business outcome.

Caption writing per platform

Written to each platform's limits and register rather than one caption pasted four times.

Hashtag and discovery strategy

Researched against your niche, refreshed as reach data comes back.

Monthly approval batch

You see and sign off the whole month before anything publishes.

What we have actually found

Real numbers from real accounts. We never publish client names, so the businesses are described rather than identified — the figures are exactly as we found them.

72

platforms published to from one calendar, each at its own correct aspect ratio

1 a day

not two — carousels earn on dwell time and two a day compete for the same scroll

18

The detail that decides it

The part most quotes leave out, because it takes experience rather than a price list.

One visual system, held across a whole series

The single most common failure we see — including in our own early work — is generating each post independently and ending up with a feed that looks like seven different brands.

We anchor every post in a series to one canonical reference so the typeface, palette, lighting and composition carry across. It sounds obvious. It requires actual discipline, because it is always faster to make each post fresh.

The test is simple: open the grid and see whether it reads as one account. A feed that fails that test is doing less for you than half as many posts that pass it.

Made for each platform, not resized for it

Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google Business Profile each render differently, and a single asset pushed to all four is cropped badly on at least two.

We produce at 1080×1440 and keep everything critical inside the centre 1080×1350, because that centre is what the feed actually renders while the full frame is what the profile grid shows. Getting this wrong is why so many brand feeds have headlines clipped in half.

Caption limits differ too — Google Business caps at 1500 characters, Instagram at 2200 — so captions get written per platform rather than pasted across.

Google Business Profile, the channel nobody posts to

For most Indian businesses with a physical presence, GBP posts reach people who are actively searching for what you sell, right now, nearby. It is the highest-intent surface available and it is almost universally ignored.

It is included rather than sold as an extra, because recommending social media to a local business and skipping the channel closest to the search would be dishonest.

Scheduling tools fail quietly, and they misreport the failure

Eighteen scheduled posts across two series published with no image. The scheduler's per-account overrides *replace* the post for that account rather than extending it — so setting only the caption, which is what you do to append a hashtag block, leaves that account's media empty. Facebook, LinkedIn and Google Business had no override and published perfectly. Instagram failed on every single post.

The reporting made it worse. That tool marks the whole post failed when any one account fails, so a post that published cleanly to two platforms and only missed a third reads as a total failure — and the reverse is just as misleading when you are skimming a calendar.

This is the unglamorous half of running social properly: not the creative, but knowing where the tooling lies to you. We check what actually published, per platform, rather than trusting a status column.

The caps, and a correction we owe our own house style

Long captions are our house style and every platform has a hard ceiling that nobody warns you about. Google Business Profile is the tightest at 1,500 characters and it always trips first. Instagram allows 2,200 including hashtags — and hashtags count, which is what catches people. Facebook is effectively never the constraint.

Four posts died on this before we spotted it, precisely because of the reporting problem above: the post read as failed everywhere when it had only exceeded one platform's limit.

And a correction of our own. We spent months believing Instagram rejected any image taller than a 4:5 ratio, and blamed a batch of failed posts on it. Both halves were wrong. A 3:4 image at 1080 by 1446 publishes cleanly — we verified it against the platform's own returned post ids — and the real cause of those failures was the missing-media bug above. We had built a letterboxing step to solve a problem that did not exist. It is gone, and 3:4 is the house standard.

How the month actually runs

A month is produced and scheduled in one batch rather than posted daily on the day. Nothing goes out rushed, and you approve the batch before any of it publishes.

Changes happen before the schedule, not after publishing. Editing a live post loses its early engagement and on some platforms cannot be done at all.

One practical limit we state up front: publishing is included, community management and inbox handling are not. Answering DMs properly is a different job with different hours, and we would rather price it separately than promise it in passing.

What we need from you

Short, and worth reading before you start. What delays this work is almost never the work — it is waiting on access or a decision.

Logo files and any brand assets

Vector where you have it. We build the visual system around the mark rather than guessing at it.

Product photos or permission to shoot

Whatever you have. We produce original creative, but we cannot invent your product.

Access to the accounts

Instagram, Facebook Page, LinkedIn and Google Business Profile — connected properly, in your ownership.

One person to approve the batch

Approvals arriving from three people in three directions is the single biggest cause of a month slipping.

Anything you will not say publicly

Claims you cannot back, competitors you will not name, topics that are off limits. Better told now than corrected after publishing.

Whether this is right for you

We would rather lose the enquiry than take work we would do badly, so the right-hand column is as honest as the left.

This is for you if

  • Your feed has gone quiet and you want it running consistently again
  • You want original creative rather than stock images and templates
  • You have a physical business and are not posting to Google Business Profile
  • You want reporting on reach and actions rather than follower count

This is not for you if

  • You want follower growth as the primary metric
  • You need someone answering DMs and comments all day; that is priced separately
  • You want daily posting on a budget that cannot fund daily original creative
  • You are not able to review and approve a batch once a month

How it runs

Four steps, in this order, every time.

  1. We agree a visual system and a posting cadence before anything is made.
  2. A month is produced and scheduled in one batch, so nothing goes out rushed.
  3. You approve the batch. Changes happen before the schedule, not after publishing.
  4. Monthly reporting on reach and profile actions, with what we would change next.

Questions

No. Everything is produced for your brand and held to one system across the series.

A month at a time, approved in a batch. Occasion posts go earlier when production needs lead time.

Publishing is included. Community management and inbox handling are quoted separately — we would rather price it honestly than promise it in passing.
